With roots tracing back to 1881, the Company is engaged in a broad range of activities in the financial services industry, including retail securities brokerage, institutional sales and trading, investment banking (both corporate and public finance), equity & fixed income research, market making, trust services and investment advisory and asset management services.Job Description:The firm is seeking a Branch Operations Manager to join their Private Client Branch office in Chicago, Illinois. This role is critical to the branch running smoothly and efficiently in meeting service excellence standards, and reports directly to the Regional Operations Manager.Responsibilities:Process money movements of funds in accordance with FINRA rulesHandles client disbursements and deliveryProcess cancellations and corrections of ordersOversees the account opening processWorks with the Branch Control Officer to ensure compliance with the Firm’s policies and proceduresResolves client service issuesTrains and manages operational support staffActs as liaison between the Branch and all Firm infrastructure areasAssist with Audit preparationsSupport client onboardingProvides any special support for sales force as requested by Branch ManagerQualificationsAt least 5+ years of brokerage/financial services experience along with some management experienceSeries 7, 63 required; must obtain Series 9 & 10 within 6 month of employmentStrong attention to detail and accuracyAbility to navigate multiple computer systems, applications, and utilize search tools to find informationExcellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skillsEffective organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skillsAble to work independently, proactively and innovatively while exercising sound judgmentIntelligent, enthusiastic self-starter with proven ability to work closely with Financial Advisors and other team membersHigh ethical standardsExcellent time management skills and anticipates potential issuesStrong working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
