Company DescriptionThe Georgia Association of Water Professionals (GAWP) is a not-for-profit association dedicated to educating and assisting individuals involved in managing and protecting Georgia's water resources. GAWP offers professional development and advocates for sound public policy in the water resources and environmental fields. The membership includes a diverse group of professionals such as water treatment plant operators, engineers, scientists, manufacturers, contractors, and elected officials.Role DescriptionThis is a full-time on-site role for a Conferences, Events, and Technology Manager located in Marietta, GA. The Manager will be responsible for planning and coordinating various conferences and events, managing budgets, and overseeing event logistics. The role involves working closely with stakeholders, vendors, and team members to execute events smoothly. Additionally, the Manager will leverage technology for event management and enhancing attendee experience.QualificationsExperience in coordinating and managing eventsProject management skillsOrganizational and time management skillsCommunication and customer service skillsBudgeting skillsAbility to work well under pressure and meet deadlinesAttention to detail and problem-solving abilitiesExperience in using technology to enhance association activities, conferences, and eventsBachelor's degree in Hospitality, Event Production, Marketing, Project Management, or related fieldSalary range: $65,000 - $75,000 (annual)Excellent benefits
