This position will be managing and leading transmission projects throughout the entire project life cycle, including scope and/or proposal development, project team development and assignment, project execution, project closeout, quality control, schedule, and budget management.
Job Responsibilities
Leads multiple project teams across simultaneous assignmentsManages the quality, timeliness and financial aspects of projectsTransmission line design experience using PLS-CADD, steel, and wood transmission structure analysis/design,Experience with transmission line, distribution line, and associated strategic services aspects (i.e., routing, permitting, public involvement, right of way acquisition) of projects with strong technical experience in designSupervises and mentors scientists, planners, engineers, designers and techniciansPartners with senior staff in maintaining and developing client relationshipsLeads, manages and conducts studies and investigations for the purpose of preparing reports and applications for environmental permits, in support of construction projects for various industries and marketsDevelops protocols and processes for leading a team to collect, analyze, manage, and report resource level data for technical reports and permit applicationsCommunicates scientific and technical information to the project team, client organizations and resource agencies through written reports and/or presentations using a careful blend of business and technical writingProvides technical and regulatory guidance to the project team, client organizations and agencies in support of permit applications, compensatory mitigation, and environmental programsReviews environmental reports, permits, and related materials for compliance with federal and state requirementsAssists public and private clients with permit coordination, acquisition and complianceCollects project related data, which may include research, conducting surveys for listed species, interviews with government agencies, landowners and clients, resource map reviews, field investigations for aquatic resources, cultural resources, land use, and other related disciplinesOther duties as assignedJob Requirements
Bachelor's degree in biology, ecology, rangeland sciences, wildlife management or related field3+ years project management experience5-10 years focus with Electric Transmission emphasisExperience with client relationship building and articulating regulatory and market needsExperience in Routing StudiesAdvanced organizational and business-technical writing skillsEffective time-management, written communication, analytical and interpersonal skillsArticulate, with professional presence and solid decision making skillsAbility to work effectively in team situations, and establish strong relationships with other teams where overlap of client project work existsProficient with MS Office (e.g., Word, Excel)Benefits to name a few...
