Regional Accountant

The Regional Accountant will partner with the Southern Region Finance team, corporate financial reporting, project teams, and others throughout the organization. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, flexible, and a self-starter. This role will require the ability to manage multiple tasks, produce quality work, and consistently meet assigned deadlines. This position reports to the Regional Assistant Controller - Southern.
Responsibilities:
Support the month-end, quarter-end and year-end close processes.Review general ledger accounts and prepare journal entries. (Ensure usages and journal entries are posted correctly.)Perform account analysis and reconciliations for general ledger accounts within the region.Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations.Assist in the preparation of monthly JV financial statements and related reports.Assist project teams with various accounting and finance related inquiries and tasks.Oversee all compliance with the regional purchasing card program.Ensure proper invoice coding within our procurement system.Assist the project teams with project setup in ERP system, closeout and any related inquiries.Communicates with Project Accountants, Project Managers, Project Directors and office personnel.Proactively monitor and report on accounts receivables to ensure timely collection.Assist with annual year-end audit and sales tax audits, ensuring all information and documentation is reviewed and provided in a timely manner.Ad-hoc analysis as required.Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required (focus in Accounting or Finance a plus)Minimum of three years of related experience. Construction industry related experience a plus.Experience with CMIC or other ERP systems a plusExtremely detail oriented with excellent organizational skillsHighly proficient with Microsoft Excel, with working knowledge of other Microsoft Office ApplicationsAbility to follow directions and able to work independently.Team player with excellent interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbalAble to identify issues, take initiative and resolve problems
