Job Summary

The Treasury Operations Manager is responsible for supporting the Sr. Manager, Treasury and Risk with department functions; including but not limited to onboarding of new hires, process improvement, reporting, trend analysis, and leading the team. The manager will lead innovation and transformation throughout the Treasury function in collaboration with IT to deploy advanced technology initiatives including AI. This leader will be expected to drive effective outcomes through accomplished metrics while promoting cohesion and collaboration across the team and partners inside and outside of Carhartt.

Representative ResponsibilitiesCoach, mentor and develop eCommerce Accounting Specialist, Billing Compliance and Cash Aapplication teams.Optimizes liquidity through the management of daily cash flow operations, ensuring accurate and timely processing of transactions, and maintaining compliance with financial policies and regulationsManages borrowings to ensure sufficient and timely liquidity to meet funding needs, including optimizing interest expense, and invest excess short-term cash.Leads monthly bank reconciliation process, ensuring all discrepancies are identified and resolved promptly, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting audit processes.Oversees the daily workflow of eCommerce Accounting, Billing Compliance and Cash Application teams to develop and enforce strategies that maximize company cash flow and identify and timely manage exceptions between systems to avoid negative impact to consumers and customers.Leads operational treasury functions, including the opening and maintenance of bank accounts, payment card merchant accountsManages claims submitted under corporate insurance programs and partners with legal department or total rewards team to estimate total liability to the company.Oversees bank fee management, evaluating and optimizing bank charges. Develops annual budgets and conducts monthly forecast analysisEstablishes and monitors policies for daily treasury activities, including managing daily cash position, funds transfer, payments and cash receipts, and Letters of CreditDevelops and maintains policies and procedures for eCommerce accounting to drive timely and accurate resolution, identify root causes and provide sufficient cross-training that delivers outcomes in alignment with industry standards. Establishes benchmarks and KPI's and creates management reporting to highlight areas of strength and areas of improvement.Proactively drives continual automation, efficiency, and effectiveness within processes to support significant business growth and risk mitigation. Actively manages IT issues and enhancements. Research and network to identify best-in-class solutions to support significant growth in business. Evaluates process enhancements and opportunities for advanced technology tools, including AI, robotic process automation (RPA), machine learning (ML), and block chain.Collaborates cross functionally with operations teams and IT teams, Credit, Customer Care, and Finance teams, as well as with external partners (Bank Lockbox, Cybersource, Paymentech) to deliver operational improvements that drive reductions chargebacks or errors to customer account postings.Supports team members in creatively solving issues and develops escalation protocols that result in decisions being made timely and at the appropriate levels.Monitors, tracks, and enforces department policies, procedures, and goals while identifying inefficiencies and proposing, developing, and documenting new concepts and proceduresRequired Education

Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, a related field, or equivalent years of experienceRequired Skills & Experience

Minimum 8 years of experience in accounting, finance, Accounts Receivable or similar fields inclusive of:

2-4 years of leadership experience with a track record of developing and attracting talent.

Advanced MS Office Suite skills including Excel for report building and complex data manipulation (VLOOKUP, Formulas, Pivot Tables)Experience with large ERP, SAP preferredExperience with automation technologies within Accounting/Accounts Receivable, AI, optical character recognition (OCR), robotic process automation (RPA), machine learning (ML), and blockchain preferredProficiency in accounting desiredExcellent written and oral communication skills with the proven ability to communicate with all levels including management and external partiesAbility to prioritize work and effectively work on multiple tasks in a fast paced, demanding environment under strict timelinesDetail and process oriented, paying close attention to detail and maintaining accuracyPrudent negotiation skills exemplifying sound judgement and decision-making abilityPhysical Requirements and Working Conditions

Office environment, cubicle settingExtended periods of time sitting, standing, typing on a computer is requiredAble to work some evenings or weekends if necessarySome travel required (approximately 10%)This position has a Remote location: Associate will have no regular requirement to be on-site.
