Summary

Responsible for processing the bills from carrier and service providers, reviewing, and analyzing carrier freight bills, and proactively resolving billing issues.

Responsible for the organization of inbound/outbound material transportation applicable to each sales or purchase order (ref. incoterm) and the preparation and recording of all required documents mainly for domestic movements.

Duties and Responsibilities

Main areas of responsibilities are:Summarize and process freight invoices from service providersCommunicate with transportation providers to secure required documentation for billingFacilitate and improve the efficiency of the current billing cycle time from carrier freight bill to client payment; continuously seeking opportunities to improve current processesReviewing freight billing to ensure costs align with expectations and dispute when/if necessaryProcessing of freight bills for payment in ERP system (SAP)Coordination of freight bookings primarily for domestic movements between Comau facilities, vendors, and final customersFunction strategically within proposals, transportation budgets, and project executions to support the programs on their transportation needsSupport of local project execution team to ensure highest service level and best costSupport local purchasing to negotiate and evaluate rates with current carriers by providing data, technical advice, and experience.Ensure good customer service from carrierAudit import/export documents from broker/freight forwarder to validate accuracy and complianceSupport internal audit process to validate accuracy and complianceKnowledge & Skills

Experience and knowledge of freight market, characteristics, constraints.Working knowledge of all relevant terms of sale (i.e. incoterms) and freight billing processes.Transportation operationsMust have excellent data entry skills with strong accuracy, very good with detailsExperience to evaluate risks associated to I/E and transportationProblem solving and reviewing of related information to develop, evaluate options and implement solutionsExperience with and knowledge of SAP (or other ERP system used in the Region/Country)General awareness of import/export rules, customs regulations and documentation, etc.Shipping/Receiving processBasics of logistics risk management principlesCustomer service skillsShipping managementMaterial handling safety principlesGeneral-purpose IT toolsBehavioral Competencies

Education :

HS Diploma or Associate degreeBachelor's degree (preferred) in Supply Chain, Business Management, or other related fields

Previous experiences

Preferably at least 3-5 years' experience in transportation management and/or in Import/Export ManagementExperience with Microsoft Office suite, email accountsExperience in logistics industryStrong problem-solving skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to present clean, organized, and thorough information and data appropriate for intended audience
