The opportunity

Adobe Design is seeking an Experience Design Manager to help create next-generation AI experiences for technical enterprise users. Are you passionate about empowering teams and companies to leverage AI for transformative business outcomes? In this role, you'll lead the charge in defining the possibilities within this dynamic space.

What you'll doBe a hands-on design manager, growing and mentoring a small, focused team, while leading design craft by example.Coach and mentor designers. You will attract design talent to the team, hire, grow, retain and promote designers.Work with cross-functional team members and partners, including engineering, product management, program management, and machine learning experts.Guide projects and initiatives through full product development cycles, from discovery through launch.Champion a collaborative work environment that promotes growth and encourages building positive relationships with cross-functional teams. Set high standards for design quality and develop strategies to drive product design.Collaborate closely with design partners across Experience Cloud, and Adobe Design, to build comprehensive experiences for our users.Champion a culture of research and validation to inform design direction.Evangelize an AI-first design approach, that can be scaled for design teams.Lead all aspects of design execution across releases. Create user experience goals, priorities and experiences that align with product releases, coordinate multiple projects to completion, and drive adoption of user experience practices ensuring timely, detailed, and impactful products.Represent the team and the team's work across senior leadership levels at Adobe.What you'll need to succeed

Lead empathetically, fostering an inclusive and empowering environment for the design team to do innovative and impactful work.A degree or equivalent experience in a design-related field (HCI, interaction, visual), or comparable work experience.5+ years of industry experience in experience design with a proven record of delivering phenomenal design and strategy that meets user needs, product requirements & business objectives2+ years of people management and UX leadership experienceStrong operational skills with the ability to drive initiatives and consensus across organizations with varying priorities.A history of facilitating close collaboration between design, product development, engineering and business.Experience working with an integrating research and experimentation into the design process.A curiosity for how business, social, technical and behavioral factors impact the UX across the user journey inside and outside the product UX.A passion to have an influential role with the product team as a driver for design process and product strategy, communicating design ideas persuasively and concisely to all functions of the organization, including executives.An inclination towards strong relationships, culture and community at the workplace.You're always working to make things better in areas of work and life.You're a great teammate who likes to have fun while getting things done!Nice-to-haves:

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $112,100 -- $231,400 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.

At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
