We are seeking a Tax Manager to join our Firm in a flexible hybrid capacity, out of our Providence, Newport, Boston or Waltham offices. Remote arrangements are available for the ideal candidate.Job Responsibilities:
Serve as client's trusted advisor, demonstrate knowledge of industry trends, identify client issues and conflicts; proactively communicate solution options to client and teamManage staff on engagement deliverables (such as tax returns, work papers, etc.); complete technical and strategic reviews as a member of the final engagement review team to ensure quality control standards are met; ensure on time delivery and on budgetDemonstrate proficient technical skills for handling all client responsibilities, including knowledge of trends, industries, alternatives, etc.Understand the client's organization, procedures and internal policiesReviewing complex tax returns including federal and multi-state returns, partnerships, high net worth individuals, trusts & estates, and foundationsUnderstanding your clients' goals and needs and servicing clients directlyOwning client relationships and workStrategizing with Partners regarding tax planningProvide clients with recommendations and guidance on how to achieve their goals and assist in identifying opportunities for growth with clientsResearching tax issues and providing guidance to clientsWorking closely with staff, and assisting senior management in mentoring, coaching, training, supervising, and evaluating staffFoster a team environment; demonstrates support of management and decisions and build a positive cultureParticipate in practice development activities that lead to the generation of new business and the opportunities for cross-servesOther Duties:

Job Qualifications
BS Degree in AccountingMaster's degree in Taxation or related field preferred6+ years of technical tax experience in public accounting, or related field, 3 in managerial roleCPA, Enrolled Agent (EA), or equivalent certification is requiredAbility to manage all aspects of client engagementsDemonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externallyDemonstrated leadership and supervisory ability, strong operational and project management skills
We are looking for a candidate to work full time. Normal hours are Monday through Friday 8:30 am to 5:30 pm with increased hours during our peak season: February through April and September through October. These periods require increasing normal weekly hours, which include weekends.
