SMRT is a multi-disciplinary, full-service architecture and engineering firm specializing in the design of high-performing, complex and sustainable environments nationwide with a concentration in the Northeast. Our internship program focuses on creating opportunities for our student interns to hone their skills and gain valuable real-life experience.
Program Details:
SMRT's Summer Internship Program runs for 12 Weeks from June to August.Our internships are paid positions.Interns must be able to work in-person in the office where they accept the internship.Application Window Ends: January 15, 2025.What We're Looking For:
Education : You've completed at least two years of a Bachelor's or Master's Degree program in Marketing.Portfolio : Marketing students are required to provide a portfolio to be considered.Travel : Must be able to travel to the Portland, ME office for the Intern Summit, and the Andover, MA office for a mid-point check-in (travel expenses paid by SMRT).What You'll Get:
Hands-On Experience : Dive right into projects alongside our experienced architects and engineers. Attend client and team meetings, tackle real-world challenges, and help shape the future of design!Mentorship : A dedicated mentor will guide you every step of the way, offering advice, feedback, and helping you meet your academic requirements.Collaborate on a Cross-Disciplinary Project:
Work with your fellow interns and experience the reality of working on a project team, tackle a real-world challenge based on real scenarios, and present your solution to the firm at the Intern Summit.Networking & Community : Build your A/E network with pros who can help you launch a successful career.Learning Opportunities

Job Responsibilities:
Perform basic marketing assignments such as copywriting, copy editing, marketing research, and data entry with oversight and direction from a staff mentor.Prepare and modify social media posts by utilizing Hootsuite, OpenAsset, and Monday.com.Collaborate with project team(s) to identify and narrate projects' design problems and solutions. .Prepare presentations in PowerPoint.Coordinate conference booth logistics, tracking, and communication.Requirements
Currently enrolled in an Associate, Bachelor, or Masters of Art, Science, or Communication in any of the following: Marketing, Communication, Journalism, Advertising, Public Relations or English (must be accompanied by a Marketing minor)Must have completed at least two years of the degree program prior to the start of the internship.Proficiency in MS Office suiteProficiency across social media: LinkedIn, Instagram, FacebookAbility to communicate and collaborate in a team environmentAbility to meet deadlines and work under pressure
