Calling all Automotive Technicians, are you ready for the next step in your automotive career?
Emich Chevrolet is seeking an experienced Technician for a crucial role as our Shop Foreman. This position is best suited for a driven individual with great leadership skills that thrives in high paced environments and has excellent written/vocal communication skills. This position demands a high level of physical energy as your will be on your feet majority of the day climbing in and out of vehicles, carry objects 50+, and leading/mentoring 15+ employees.

Responsibilities
• Dispatch/assign Repair orders and work to technicians
• climbing in, out and underneath of vehicles and lifting, moving, or carrying large items like parts or batteries will be required at times - it is a very active job
• It will demand a great deal of intensity to help build and lead our service team
• You will be expected to take cleanliness, diagnosis, organization, and leadership to another level
• Walks from bay to bay physically checking on technician progress in the shop as well as walking a multi-acre lot to retrieve a vehicle if needed
• Assist in recruiting and hiring new technician's
• Provides employee training
• Creates and manages employee schedule
• Oversees daily work of employees
• Assists in repair, Diagnosis, maintenance, or other tasks involved in client work orders
• Reviews work completed to ensure it is up to quality standards
• Ensures technicians follow the manufacturer's Warranty Repair guidelines
• Assist management with Warning, disciplining, or terminating employees not working to company standards
• Maintains work records and files
• Enforces all health and safety policies in the shop
• Prioritizes and controls all comebacks to ensure proper and prompt attention
• Assists employees in on-site health or safety emergencies
• Addresses and resolves customer issues and complaints
• Inspects and cleans shop equipment
• Fixes equipment and company tools, as necessary
• Orders supplies
• Inventory and maintain organization of Special Tools
• Maintains a professional appearance
• Performs quarterly reviews with all technicians and apprentices and submits the results to the Service Director
• Ensures that shop area is clean, organized, and free of dangerous or hazardous material
• Other duties may be assigned

Qualifications
• A Minimum of 8 - 10 years' Working Experience as a Technician with General Motors is Required
• Must have your own personal tools
• Must be current with all General Motors Technical Training requirements
• Must have strong diagnostic skills
Must have strong leadership skills
