Responsibilities:
Dispatch all work to technicians throughout the business day. This will help to stay engaged with vehicles in the shop, technician workload, and proper technician to properly trained technician.Keep up with dispatch log and communicate with Service manager and advisers.Ready and willing to train new technicians.Daily rotation to talk with each technician in their workstations to help with proper diagnostic procedures, and training for better technician efficiency and production.Maintain Lincoln / Ford diagnostic laptops and service equipment as needed.Maintain a list of technician training and help guide technicians into proper training classes needed for growthPerform diagnosis of issue vehicles that arise with the help of the assigned technician. We want to help grow our higher and lower level technician competency so that you are leaned on less. As our technicians become more proficient this will help you focus more time to train lower level/new Lincoln / Ford techniciansTrack technician bonuses for weekly payroll.Complete quarterly performance reviews with technician staff. Give good feedback and items of things to continue to work on and improve. (comeback, types of diagnosis, trending issues, tardiness)Direct technicians/hourly staff to maintain cleanliness inside the shop. Move metal to recycle bins, cardboard, or used parts to be returned to partsQuality Control repairs made by technicians after work Is performed, reviewing to make sure proper diagnosis, repairs, and test drives are being performed.Meet with FSE to go over Fix it Right First-Time reports.Assist Technicians when filling out No problem found and come back sheets.Complete loaner report, meet with Service manager and discuss plan.Must be able to write warranty stories and audit other technician's warranty stories.Other admin responsibilities will be assigned.Maintain all specialty manufacture tool inventory and ensure technicians return all specialty manufacture tool inventory.Hold weekly 15-20-minute shop meetings. You pick the day, the weekly topic, or training that will improve employee morale, proficiency/efficiency.Other duties such as equipment repair, and location repairs, if possible, may be asked of this position for OSHA/KPA requirements. Outside vendors may be used if repairs outside abilities or trainingMaintain individual training requirements as neededPerform road tests with guests or find proper technician properly trained to provide diagnostic help or capabilities to provide guests with Exceptional ExperienceReturn guest comeback reinspection to a proper technician or yourself. Minimum 10 years of Ford/Lincoln technician experienceSome supervisory experience may be requiredMust have own toolsMust be able to diagnose and repair Lincoln / Ford vehicles.Ability to stand, walk for long periods of timeExcellent written and verbal skillsMust be able to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.Must have a valid and current driver's license and be insurable
