The impact you will have:
The
Procurement Buyer
is a vital member of the Procurement organization, currently in the process of large-scale transformation to support a rapidly growing organization. The candidate selected will play a key role in assisting to transform the Buyer role and value proposition of Procurement through active, positive engagement with internal stakeholders across all departments of the company. Procurement Buyers are subject matter experts on how procurement systems work and their corresponding processes.
What you will do:
Support the Procurement organization through completion of procurement functions utilizing various enterprise systemReview, modify and approve purchase requisitions and purchase ordersAssist Category Sourcing in the execution of business/service contractsStrengthen the Procurement organization by collaboratively identifying and implementing improved processes that deliver value while reducing risk and achieving high compliance standardsSupport procurement strategies to maximize cost savings and minimize risk by helping guide employees toward appropriate buying channels (e.g. VARs, vendors with rebate programs)Assist in the maintenance and implementation of digital vendor catalogs in procurement systems, ensuring proper usage, user access, and pricingDrive efficiencies by assisting with the onboarding and support of suppliers related to purchase order information, shipping and receiving inquiries, and self-submittal of invoicesAct as a data steward with regard to procurement and inventory data, ensuring necessary information for meaningful data analysis from procurement systemsEstablish efficient and repeatable data cleansing and classification capabilitiesPerform research and analysis using relevant systems and Microsoft Excel, transforming raw data into information to be used for executive level business decisionsAid company employees with ad-hoc research and reporting of vendor spend, shipping and return inquiries, and invoice managementSupport supplier savings tracking and business updatesPartner with Accounts Payable department, suppliers, and various internal teams to ensure timely resolution of payment obligationsProvide support for special projects, including vendor audit, reporting, and researchAssist company employees with understanding and adhering to the global procurement process, including system usage, policies, and helping navigate the approval processCreate and maintain educational documentation for dissemination to internal and external audiences on process, policy and procurement system usageServe as a liaison between the Procurement organization and internal user departmentsWhat you will need to be successful:
Technical college degree or equivalent work experience in lieu of degreeFour or more years of data center experience or equivalent experienceCompletion of apprenticeship: Mechanical, Electrical, CPR, AEDJourneyman, or QTS cert CET Level III or equivalentBASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply-Chain, Engineering, Business Administration, Management, Operations or FinanceTwo or more years of relevant experience in Sourcing / Procurement / Supply-ChainExperience with procurement systems (Ariba, Coupa, Oracle, Workday, etc.)PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience working for or supporting a data center provider (multi-tenant data center, hyperscale user, or equipment provider)Experience in change management or process/systems trainingExperience with Workday and OracleThe Perks (and these are just a few):
