This position will start on January 6th, 2025 and will run through May 30th, 2025 and is located in Atlanta, Fulton County, Georgia.

Job Description
As an intern for the DHS Governmental Affairs team, you will support our team in monitoring legislative meetings, preparing summaries and other materials for subject matter experts and legislators, and assisting in the planning and execution of the Department's state board and commission meetings.
You can expect to work in a fast-paced environment and enjoy many opportunities to
learn more about politics, state government, and the legislative process.
Role and Responsibilities:Develop summaries of legislative committee meetings, relevant bills, and other meetings as assigned.Assist with resolving constituent and legislative inquiries.Monitor and organize the agency's legislative tracking system.Create agendas, powerpoints, and other materials in preparation for Board and Commission meetings.Help with other tasks related to Legislative Session as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Eligibility Requirements:• Must be a currently enrolled junior, senior, graduate student, or no more than one year past graduation.• Must have a 3.0 GPA or higher.• Must be a Georgia resident or attending/attended a Georgia college, university, or law school.
