Essential Duties :Assume responsibility in the absence of the Principal.Keep the Principal apprised of activities, situations, and developments that effect the school operation.Ensure high quality implementation of instructional expectations, including balanced instruction, standards, and formative assessment.Assist the Principal with establishing and maintaining clear, consistent communications with parents, families, and community partners to receive input and feedback on the effectiveness of the school, to improve family engagement, and to resolve concerns.Assist in the supervision, observation, and evaluation of staff.Assist with the development, implementation, and monitoring of the school's Continuous School ImprovementPlan (CSIP) that aims to improve student performance.Assist in the supervision of the extracurricular program.Assist with the supervision of student and staff conduct and monitor their progress toward achieving specified goals.Assist the Principal with establishing a positive school climate that includes high expectations, interactive teaching, clearly defined goals and objectives.Assist the Principal in implementing procedures to ensure a safe and orderly school environment.Supervise student activities, assemblies, and other activities; assist in organizing student activities; assist with the supervision of student orientation, registration, and scheduling.Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.Qualifications :
Hold or be eligible for a Georgia Educational Leadership Certificate, Level 5 or higher.Minimum of three years of successful educational experience.Demonstrated knowledge of standards, curriculum, and instruction.Exceptional integrity, commitment to confidentiality, excellent character, and strong professional reputation.Ability to abide by the Georgia Professional Standards Code of Ethics for Educators.Must be regularly, predictably, and reliably at work.Ability to be present at the physical worksite.Must perform tasks involving prolonged periods of standing, walking, and sitting.Must be able to properly and consistently supervise students, particularly during emergency situations.Must perform routine physical activities such as bending and lifting/pushing/pulling up to 50 pounds.Vision, hearing, written, and verbal communications are essential factors in performing required tasks.
