The Development Officer for Corporate Giving is responsible for setting and executing on the communication and fundraising strategy for the organization's corporate partners, including the cultivation, engagement, solicitation, and stewardship of both current corporate donors and prospective corporate donors, to achieve and exceed fundraising goals. The position leads the development team efforts in establishing and growing corporate partnerships, workforce partnerships, sponsorships, event sponsorships, corporate foundation grant opportunities, corporate volunteer involvement/giving, and gift-in-kind opportunities to maximize relationships and total gift revenue. The Development Officer for Corporate Giving reports to the Chief Development Officer.

Requirements

Assists in short- and long-range strategic planning activities to create and implement fundraising goals and objectives.Conducts research to identify prospective donors and creates strategies to match donors' interests to the priorities of Habitat Omaha.Sets and updates moves management plans for each corporate prospect in the database.Helps to establish an annual development department revenue budget for corporate giving, gifts-in-kind, and events based on stewardship of an effective moves management plan.Supports Gift-in-Kind, which offsets costs for Development, ReStore, Construction, and other departments as needed. This involves cultivating and building relationships with corporate retailers, manufacturers, wholesalers, builders, contractors, and donors.Identifies, cultivates, and solicits philanthropic support by developing and maintaining relationships with donors and prospective donors; significant time spent meeting one-on-one with donors and prospective donors.Contributes to the development of fundraising methods or activities to ensure proper acknowledgement, recognition, and stewardship of donors.Engages, and cultivates corporate contacts to encourage support of Habitat Omaha through contributions of time, talent, and treasure.Participates in developing campaign materials, case statements, and brochures; works in collaboration to prepare reports and prospect research materials.Builds working relationships and serves as development liaison to key constituents including corporate liaisons/representatives, corporate sponsors, and prospective donors to achieve successful fundraising efforts.Nurtures culture of philanthropic support and stewardship.Makes effective use of Habitat Omaha's prospect management database and other resources to ensure appropriate management of donors, prospects, and volunteers in coordination with organization's objectives.Participates in special projects and other duties as assigned.Experience, Abilities, and Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree and minimum three (3) years of experience in development, sales, or related field.Demonstrated leadership, relationship building, collaboration, and team building skills.Outstanding oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.Goal-oriented, flexible, professional, and outgoing personality.Self-motivated, and able to work well both independently and cooperatively; proven success working as a member of a team.Strong organizational and time management skills.Ability to multi-task and maintain a high level attention to detail.Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, etc.).Ability to meet deadlines and work with tight scheduling and competing priorities.Must be able to maintain confidentiality of Habitat Omaha donor information.Must have compassion for people of all backgrounds and a desire to end substandard housing.Exceptional interpersonal skills in a variety of social and professional environments.Ability to work nights/weekends as needed.
