About the Position : Responsible for assisting in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the psychiatric nursing needs of the consumers served at Griffin Memorial Hospital. The Nursing Coordinator has 24-hour, seven-days/week responsibility for a specific component of the nursing department. Supervises Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, and Mental Health Technicians to ensure coverage and quality consumer care.
Job Type/Salary:Full time shift positionAnnual Salary is $85,000
plus $3.00/hour stacking shift differentials for overnights, holidays, & weekends
Shifts are 7 to 7, with positions open on both shifts

Valid permanent Oklahoma license as a registered nurse as approved by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing, or Registered Nurse License recognized by the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC) and;
four years of professional nursing experience - two years of which must have been in a supervisory capacityone additional year of professional nursing experience in a managerial or consultative capacity or providing consultation and educational services in a specialized field or programplus two additional years of professional nursing experience in an administrative capacity
OR
Bachelor's degree in nursing and valid permanent Oklahoma license as a registered nurse as approved by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing, or Registered Nurse License recognized by the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC) and;
three years of professional nursing experience - two years of which must have been in a supervisory capacityone additional year of professional nursing experience in a managerial or consultative capacity or providing consultation and educational services in a specialized field or programplus two additional years of professional nursing experience in an administrative capacity;
OR
Master's degree nursing and valid permanent Oklahoma license as a registered nurse as approved by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing, or Registered Nurse License recognized by the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC) and;
two years of professional nursing experience in a supervisory capacityone additional year of professional nursing experience in a managerial or consultative capacity or providing consultation and educational services in a specialized field or programplus two additional years of professional nursing experience in an administrative capacity.
Special Requirements:

Griffin Memorial Hospital (GMH) is located in Norman, Oklahoma, and serves all 77 counties in Oklahoma as a Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (ODMHSAS) treatment center for adults. Griffin Memorial Hospital is a 120-bed acute psychiatric hospital serving persons aged 18 and over with severe mental illness and provides in-patient hospital care for those in need of mental health & substance abuse services.
