Cage Shift Manager

Position Summary:
The Cage Shift Manager oversees the activity of Cage operations, including protecting the company's assets and controlling activity of the Cage personnel while performing excellent guest service. Responsible for effective scheduling, credit/collections, completion of all necessary accountability/compliance duties and paperwork, and supervising posting of all gaming activity and Cage Department team.
Essential Functions:
1.Responsible for redefining hospitality at Graton Resort & Casino while living, supporting, and practicing our values.2.Oversee Title 31 functions.3.Make recommendations to Cage manager regarding potential policies and procedures to ensure that cash handling is performed within accepted standards established by management, accounting, and regulatory requirements.4.Ensure that all tasks are completed as required and that all items are balanced.5.Ensure credit transactions are posted accurately to the computer and Guests' accounts.6.Issue credit in accordance with property credit policy.7. Assist the Cage Manager in overseeing the collections process.8. Responsible for the final balancing of funds and assets assigned during shift.9. Assist the Cage Supervisors and Cashiers in the check cashing and credit needs of the Guests.10. Assist the Cage Supervisors in staffing shifts.11. Ensure that all procedures set forth by the State Compact are followed.12. Supervise Cage Supervisors and Cashiers in the performance of their duties.13. Makes recommendations to the Cage Manager on potential new hires.
Required Qualifications:
1. Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members and Management in both written and verbal form.2. One (1) to two (2) years' experience as a Cage Supervisor.3. Basic understanding of accounting, gaming, and regulatory requirements, including, but not limited to, Title 31, and minimum internal control standards (MICS).4. Able to use equipment such as coin sorters, currency counters and calculators.5. Ability to work varied schedules as business demands.6. Prior computer experience with spreadsheets.7. Basic math and reading skills.8. Must be able to handle multiple tasks, and establish priorities effectively.
Physical Requirements:
1.Ability to lift up to 25 pounds with or without assistance.
2.Ability to work in a standing position for duration of shift.
3.Ability to bend, kneel, reach, push, carry and pull.
