POSITION TITLE:
Universal Personal Financial RepresentativeDEPARTMENT:
Retail OperationsREPORTS TO:
Assistant Branch Manager or Branch Manager
MAJOR PURPOSE:
To service existing members and prospective new members with regards to United Credit Union's products and services.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Open new member accounts
Process beneficiary documents
Assist members in the preparation of consumer loan applications
Analyze and process consumer loan applications including the processing of approval and refusal notifications and adverse action letters to the members
Schedule and disburse consumer loans
Identifies and capitalizes on opportunities to promote and cross sell products and services
Greet members at they enter the branch and direct them to the correct area of the credit union to conduct their business
Perform tasks in accordance with United Credit Union's policies, procedures and local, state, and federal regulations
Contact members on pending loans and arrange for scheduling final disbursement
Originate Mortgage application
Assist members in completing payroll deduction, direct deposit forms and allocations
Process U.S. Savings Bond requests for redemption
Respond to any inquiries made by members via telephone, email and/or in-person concerning but not limited to Financial Services
Understand all Teller functions and responsibilities and be able to function as a Teller
Understand the Communication Center duties and responsibilities
Process Death notifications
Process notifications of matured Share Savings Certificates of Deposit and schedule renewals
Provide Financial Services coverage at branches when needed
Attend training assigned by management
Other duties as assigned by supervisor or management
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
High School diploma or equivalent is required
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of related credit union work experience, or equivalent experience in related field or a Bachelor degree or Associate degree preferred. Minimum 1-year loan granting and collection experience with a financial institution preferred
Knowledge/Skill/Abilities:
Excellent math skills and basic accounting knowledge. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Be able to work well with others. Trustworthy and ability to work with integrity. Exhibit competency in using current technology, such as computer, calculator, etc. necessary to complete required and miscellaneous responsibility. Ability to be a self-starter. Must have good writing and verbal communication skills. Great customer service skills. Knowledge of credit union practice and regulations. Detail oriented and high degree of accuracy. Ability to problem solve and take initiative. Be reliable. Spanish speaking strongly preferred
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This is a fulltime position. Nature of the work requires prolonged periods of sitting and/or standing at a desk working in front of a computer and operation standard office equipment. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT
The majority of the work performed will be in an office environment.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
None.
COMPENSATION INFORMATION:
Pay Range: $20.00 - $21.00 USD per hour. A competitive compensation and benefits package shall be offered to the selected candidate and includes the following: health, dental, vision, retirement plan, paid holidays, and paid time off.
