Continuing our two decade mission of supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs with construction management expertise, LRS Federal is hiring a Construction Administrator to support ongoing construction projects taking place at the VA campus in Lexington, KY. The Construction Administrator will provide a comprehensive program of Project Engineering, Planning, Scheduling, Design reviews and Value Management Assessments, Safety Compliance Reviews, Monitoring and Testing Compliance, Record Keeping, Cost Estimating /Budget Control, and Change Management Documentation Management as a government contractor.

Responsibilities

Monitor and review budgetary cost accounting; administration of construction contract change orders; maintain spreadsheets indicating project funds allowances, obligations, payments, balances, planned expenditures, etc., and assist in the documentation of the administration of construction contract change orders;Prepare and maintain daily diaries for project activities noting events affecting construction. Maintain a current projectschedule, coordinate with general contractor and compare project progress against government schedule and general contractor's schedule. Address all schedule slippages and make recommendations for adjustments in the project. Coordinate work to be completed with hospital staff to minimize impact to operations.Conduct or attend weekly or weekly project meetings to review and monitor projects, project schedules, and review of construction contractor payment requirements.Keep thorough records of occurrences, contracts, and others construction related matters of the project to assist the VA in conflict resolution. Perform scheduling, conduct and document regular progress meetings with all interested parties to review project status, discuss problems, and resolve issues accordingly.Monitor the services of an independent testing agency/laboratory to perform project specific quality control testing an inspection services. The services may include, but are not limited to, testing/inspection of soils, concrete, precast concrete connections, applied fireproofing and roofing.Qualifications

High school diplomaMinimum of 3 years of experience in construction or construction administrationAbility to pass a government background checkU.S. Citizen

Work will be located on the Franklin R. Sousley VA Campus and the Troy Bowling VA Campus within Lexington, KY.
