This role will be based in Pennsauken, NJ.

WHAT WE NEED

The Maintenance Manager will direct all reliability and maintenance activities to ensure that maximum operational potential is realized for the entire plant operation at assigned manufacturing facility. This includes all functions in the areas of Maintenance Business Management, Maintenance Materials Inventory (MRO), Maintenance Recruit to Retire, Manufacturing Process Reliability and Equipment Reliability, e.g. departmental budgets, computerized maintenance management systems, preventive/predictive and corrective maintenance programs. Also, Technical Skills Management of electrical, electronics, controls programming, mechanical systems (process equipment, packaging equipment), and stockroom. Development, coordination and execution of maintenance related capital budget items in concert with engineering. Manages the Maintenance and Utility Departments personnel for plant, and across all shifts.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Lead the maintenance team in the safe execution of all equipment maintenance activities. Ensure that all plant activities are conducted following all safety procedures, champions safety is the first consideration of all employees/contractors and promotes a safe work environment through own behaviors.Interviews and selects candidates to fill vacancies, in partnership with HR in supporting functions and cross functionally with other hiring managers.Maintain assets to meet regulatory guidelines e.g. USDA, FDA, OSHA, and EPA.Optimize costs through effective budget planning and management using a cost-effective approach toward asset management and minimizing loss and waste.Optimize the availability and safe operation of production assets through appropriate predictive and preventative maintenance and safe and effective execution of corrective maintenance and projects.Oversee and jointly lead the implementation of the TPM and Lean Six Sigma Initiatives with a strong focus on Autonomous Maintenance, Focused Equipment Maintenance and Employee training related to operation, maintenance, center lining and benchmarking.Coordinate major maintenance and project requirements with production and engineering, to include major downtime activities and downtime periods and supports the effort to identify opportunities and help develop the Plant's Capital Budget. Work closely with the engineering team.Train maintenance staff on effective maintenance practices, including effective use of the computerized maintenance management system, problem solving tools, risk and failure analysis, maintenance scheduling and analysis of maintenance related data and equipment histories.Develop Maintenance Master Plant. Manage and report out critical maintenance KPI on a daily/ weekly/ monthly basis. Effectively conduct tool-box meeting and work well in a cross functional team.Set and evaluate departmental goals and objectives through a collaborative effort with maintenance departmental supervision and Plant leadership team.Conduct special studies as assigned or self-initiated to improve departmental services, equipment reliability and factory operations or satisfy external requirements.Provide direction to the operation, maintenance of the Utilities and Wastewater facilities to assure they meet production demands.Ensure parts availability in the MRO stockroom to minimize equipment and facility downtime while balancing economic maintenance inventory management.Maintain the equipment per good manufacturing practices to meet the expectations of both internal and external customers.Assist with evaluating reliability of production and packaging needs for Capital Equipment (CAPEX), investments and contribute to annual and multi-year budget planning for facility.Performance Management: Manages employee performance by clearly defining job responsibilities and standards of performance; tracking progress against goals; providing clear, thorough, timely feedback; and addressing performance problems and issues promptly.Technical Expertise Leverage: Ensures self and staff keep up to date on technical knowledge and developments that impact roles. Uses this information to drive improvements and/or prepare for changing requirements.Ensures an effective learning environment by coaching employees, orchestrating learning opportunities, and providing relevant, high-impact feedback.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL

Associate degree in technical field.Minimum of seven (7) years' of applicable experience.Minimum of two (2) years of people management experience.Experience in food and/or pharmaceutical manufacturing, specifically working to meet GMP, OSHA, FDA, EPA standards.Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) a plus.Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

High level of expertise in the following areas: Packaging/Mechanical Operation, Electrical, Instrumentation, Electronics/Controls, Utility Systems including but not limited to boiler, refrigeration and waste-water systems.PLC, HMI, Instrumentation and Controls experience.Able to work autonomously as a strong, independent, critical-thinker and decision-maker.Ability to independently prioritize and juggle multiple matters at once.A pro-active, high-energy attitude, geared towards achieving continuous improvement.Track record of excellence, ability to drive change and deliver results.Project Management Skills.Interpersonal and communications skills to motivate, empower, train, direct, lead, evaluate and coach a diverse group of team members to reach their fullest potential.Ability to Analyze and solve complex problems.

At BRF, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. The base pay range for this role is between $115,000K and $125,000K. Your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
