Job Description:
The firm is seeking an attorney with
3-7 years of experience
in
construction litigation . The ideal candidate will have experience handling complex construction-related matters, including multi-million dollar
private and public works projects
as well as
catastrophic personal injury
and
death cases
related to construction projects. The firm’s work includes representing a diverse range of clients in industries such as hospitality, infrastructure, healthcare, education, and commercial real estate.
The firm handles cases involving construction defects, delay claims, contract disputes, and liability claims arising from large-scale projects, including
hotels, casinos, highways, power plants, wastewater treatment facilities , and more. Experience with
insurance clients
is preferred, as the firm works closely with insurance carriers to resolve complex construction and liability disputes.
Responsibilities:Represent clients in complex
construction litigation , including multi-million dollar private and public works projects.Manage all aspects of litigation, from
case inception
to
trial
and
appeal .Advise clients on
contract creation
and
negotiation
for large-scale construction projects.Assist with
claims
during the design and construction phases of projects, including
lien actions ,
mediation ,
arbitration , and
settlement negotiations .Prepare
pleadings, motions , and other
legal documents
related to construction disputes.Work closely with
design professionals ,
contractors , and
construction professionals , providing
strategic legal advice
throughout the course of projects.Represent clients in
court hearings ,
trials , and
appeals .Collaborate with
clients
and
insurance carriers
to resolve disputes efficiently.Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (JD)
degree from an accredited law school.Admitted to practice law in
California
and in good standing with the California State Bar.3-7 years
of experience in
construction litigation .Experience with
multi-million-dollar construction projects
and
complex disputes .Strong background in representing clients in construction-related
litigation, arbitration,
and
mediation .Familiarity with
construction contract
negotiation, claims assistance, and dispute resolution.Insurance experience
preferred.Excellent
oral and written communication skills .Ability to manage a caseload independently while working collaboratively with the team.Benefits:
