Job Summary

This position will provide technical, administrative and confidential support to the Administration Division at MCF-Shakopee for the and Associate Warden of Administration (AWA), Physical Plant Director (PPD), and other staff as required.

Primary Job Responsibilities include:

Provide budget administration to the plant operations and the AWA on day-to-day activities.Issue maintenance and construction related work orders and maintaining the Archibus work order system.Managing the purchase orders and budgetary needs as assignedTracking and reporting on B3 energy and recycling usage; and related support servicesIn this position you will also be BCA Certified and responsible for the background checks and security clearance for all of the outside contractors and other service providers of facility services.This position may have incidental contact with Incarcerated Individuals.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

Two (2) years of technical, administrative, or para-professional experience supporting business information systems, which may include research, data analysis, reporting, and/or technical documentation (A bachelor's degree may substitute for one year of experience.

Applicants who meet the education/experience requirements listed above will be further assessed on the following:

Analytical and problem solving skills sufficient to analyze unique situations and devise appropriate solutions based on interpretation of relevant policies and procedures.Database management skills sufficient to update and maintain data in BCA, COMS, Criminal Justice InformationSystem (CJIS), and offender base filesCustomer service skills sufficient to provide prompt, courteous and accurate information to offenders, staff, andcounty officials on the phone, through email and other written correspondence.Proven ability to maintain confidentiality of all data and information.Skills in researching and compiling data/information.Preferred Qualifications

The following qualifications are strongly desired of applicants seeking consideration for this position:

Experience using BCA, CJIS, and/or COMS.Knowledge of data privacy and the Minnesota Data Practices Act.Working knowledge of ARCHIBUS and the Electronic Inter-Office Requisition (EIOR) purchasing system.Experience in a correctional environment.Knowledge of the court system and court documents.Experience in developing administrative and programmatic procedures sufficient to obtain, organize, and draft materialsPhysical Requirements

Additional Requirements

The selection process may include screening the top candidate(s) on their criminal history, predatory offender registration, offender associations and/or other applicable background information in accordance with Department of Corrections' policy. Top candidate(s) must pass a criminal history check which includes successful completion of all sentencing and/or restitution requirements of law enforcement jurisdictions, including probation.

Employment history/reference checks, including incidents of sexual harassment, will also be conducted on the top candidate(s) in accordance with Department of Corrections' policy. This may include a review of job performance and discipline records.

New employees will be fingerprinted within the first 30 days of employment.
