Essential Functions:Provides ongoing leadership for the purpose of using goals and objectives articulated in the REACH 2027 Strategic Plan and benchmark metrics specified in the Strategic Plan.Contributes leadership to the development of the school mission and goals tied to the Strategic Plan for the purpose of providing a positive learning climate and supportive community.Holds strong skills in communication, social-emotional learning, and building collaborative relationships.Communicates the school instructional program, goals and objectives for the purpose of conveying information to parents and the community.Designs and works collaboratively with staff for the purpose of ensuring the effectiveness of ongoing and job-embedded professional development programs and practices.Collaborates with school-based and central office personnel for the purpose of ensuring the rigor, excellence and relevance of school curriculum offerings, implementation process, and program evaluation initiatives.Collaborates with school-based and central office personnel to support students and families to close the achievement gap with a specific focus on disproportionality.Provide ongoing leadership for the purpose of establishing and maintaining a culturally responsive school, which eliminates disproprortionality.Provides direction for school budget execution in curriculum implementation, professional development, and relevant instruction areas for the purpose of monitoring the expenditure of funds.Provides ongoing feedback to staff via formal and informal observations designed for the purpose of ensuring the effectiveness of instruction delivery systems in all content and program areas.Provides ongoing leadership for the purpose of ensuring high levels of student achievements of school improvement planning benchmarks and related district goals.Supports staff and teachers for the purpose of providing support with student accountability and attendance.Works collaboratively with teachers, counselors, administrators and other educators for the purpose of ensuring the implementation of a viable and reliable balanced assessment process, including effective diagnostic/pre-assessment, formative and summative assessment.Ensures ongoing analysis of multiple data sources to ensure equitable outcomes for all students.Facilitates student, parent, and staff to support an equitable learning environment for the school community.
Requirements:
Must possess a valid New York State administrative certificate (SAS/SBL or SDA).Demonstrated expertise in evidence-based curriculum design, assessment, and instructional practices.Documented experience in leading elementary educational program development and implementation, including professional development in evidence-based best practices for diverse student populations.Demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience necessary to work effectively with students, teachers, administrators, families and community members.Demonstrated leadership in the area of Equity and Culturally Responsive Education.Demonstrated educational leadership rooted in a culture of high expectations and success for all students.Demonstrated knowledge of the District's Strategic Plan and national best practices and trends for accelerating academic achievement.Demonstrated successful experience as an administrator and successful teaching experience related to working in socioeconomically and culturally diverse school settings.Demonstrated ability to use data analysis to guide decision making in order promote school improvement.Demonstrated knowledge of the process of assessment, intervention and progress monitoring, using an equity lens, in order to support calibration of instruction.
