Summary / purpose of the positionThe Associate Director of US Health Economics and Outcomes Research & Real-World Evidence (HEOR & RWE) contractor will help develop real-world and economic evidence generation strategies to describe the value of our products for healthcare providers, population-health decision makers, and other external stakeholders to support appropriate access to medicines and improve population-health. The Associate Director of US HEOR & RWE contractor will ensure scientific rigor in the design and conduct of US HEOR & RWE studies and the effective communication of results to external audiences, including scientific exchange through publications. The Associate Director of US HEOR & RWE contractor will also work cross-functionally to ensure that US HEOR & RWE plans are strategically aligned across the organization, including Brand Marketing, Medical Affairs, Value & Access, Global RWE, and Global HEOR. Additionally, the Associate Director of US HEOR & RWE contractor will support field team engagements by developing field team resources and by training field teams.
Main responsibilities / job expectationsPlay a central role in driving effective cross-functional collaboration and development of US HEOR & RWE evidence generation strategies in alignment to medical and commercial strategy.Provide input into Integrated Evidence Generation Plans to ensure US needs are represented.Lead the design, conduct, and publish methodologically rigorous US HEOR & RWE studies and projects, in collaboration with internal and external researchers, to understand the real-world clinical, humanistic, and economic impact of *** products.Lead the development of materials, including AMCP dossiers, budget impact models, and value communication resources to support customer engagements.Train customer-facing teams, such as Field US HEOR, Value and Access, and field medical colleagues, on value communication resources to support customer engagements.Support meetings with key external customers through participation in meetings or presenting approved value communication resources to customers as needed.Track budgets and timelines and ensure appropriate processes are followed for internal approval and execution of US HEOR & RWE projects.Comply with all regulatory laws, regulations and policies that govern the conduct of ***.Stay informed on the latest methodological advances that expand and enhance HEOR/RWE research.Knowledge, abilities & experience EducationAdvanced degree (PhD, PharmD, MS, MPH) in Health Services Research, Health Economics, Epidemiology, Public Health, Pharmacy or a related field is required.ExperienceMinimum of 3-5 years' experience in Health Economics and Outcomes Research or related field is required; completion of fellowship in HEOR or related field will be counted towards experience.Presenting HEOR or RWE studies to external audiences at scientific conferences and/or in a field role.Key Technical Competencies RequiredMust thrive in a fast-paced environment while remaining flexible.Must be proactive, have excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to develop relationships with key stakeholders to develop realistic plans and recommendations.Strong communication (both oral and written) and project management skills.Strong attention to detail.Ability to work individually and within cross-functional teams, as well as with external partners and vendors.Broad understanding of the US healthcare reimbursement systems.Ability to travel approximately 20-30% of time.
