Position Summary:
The Staff Attorney II will provide day-to-day support to Irvine Company Apartment Communities onsite property management teams regarding landlord-tenant issues. The position will be based in the Company's 131 Theory Campus.
Job Duties:
Provide legal counsel and guidance to community management personnel on a broad range of landlord-tenant and operational issues.Assist with updating and maintaining residential lease packet and related documents.Assist with drafting and maintaining training materials.Research critical legal issues and provide practical, balanced recommendations.Review subpoenas and prepare appropriate responses.Prepare, issue, maintain and release litigation holds.Minimum Qualifications / Other Expectations:
Education & Experience:
Graduate of an accredited law school.Admitted to California Bar.Seeking 1 to 3 years of experience as a licensed attorney; the ideal candidate will have experience in landlord-tenant, fair housing, or related areas of law.Other:
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.Excellent analytical and research skills.Practical and results oriented approach coupled with analytical rigor.Ability to organize and manage multiple matters simultaneously, communicate with internal clients and deliver timely results.Ability to be a self-starter and work independently as well as participate in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills.Tech-savvy professional is a must - strong computer proficiency in G Suite, familiarity with Legal Tracker preferred.Ability to quickly adapt and embrace new work-based technologies that are adopted by the Company from time to time.This is an in person opportunity - remote work is not available for this position.
Compensation:
Base Pay Range: $113,200.00 - $150,800.00
Actual placement within this range may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.
