This includes staying informed about changes in clients' lives that could affect their risk exposure and insurance needs, performing annual reviews of their coverage, negotiating with carriers, and advising clients on suitable coverage options, limits, and risk management strategies. Additional responsibilities may include handling inbound sales and providing claims support.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, multitasking environment. You will work closely with both clients and carriers, providing comprehensive service. As a client-facing position, it requires a polished, professional demeanor in both appearance and communication.
Essential Job Functions:
Accurately manage client accounts and ensure all deadlines are metAssist leaders in marketing and placing new business and/or renewal business while maintaining process per workflowsSeek opportunities and take steps to increase knowledge of industry, regulatory requirements, tools and resources available to assist clientsAnswer questions from leaders and the service teams regarding accountsCommunicate with the clients and answer questions regarding provided policies and/or servicesBuild and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with clients and carriers, both internal and externalTravel or visit insurance companies and/or clients, when necessaryContinuously seek to identify opportunities & solutions that allow for a more effective and efficient delivery of a top-quality client experienceServe as a subject matter expert for niche specializationCoordinate & direct firm resources - Claims, Legal, Safety, Marketing, Technology, etc.Manage book of business with pro-active client service approachRound out coverage for accounts in collaboration with the service team or independently, as assignedPerform other duties as assignedCredentials:
High School diploma or GED required, two or four-year degree preferred3+ years of demonstrated insurance experience is requiredP&C Insurance license requiredExperience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and basic PowerPoint functionsUnderstand the different processes/forms associated with the varying coverages and insurersExperience working with EPIC Agency Management Software preferredSkills:
A Strong organizational and time management skillsAbility to prioritize workloadExtremely accurate and detail-orientedStrong and professional verbal and written communication skillsStrong problem-solving skillsUnderstand and maintain fiduciary responsibility for company, client, and producerAbility to work independentlyStrategic thinkingRelationship managementStrong work ethic
