Position Summary
As a Project Scheduler 2, you will develop and manage schedules for projects and develop processes and templates for field use.You will assist project managers with coordinating tasks, monitoring timelines, and schedule planning as well as identifying possible delays and facilitating a solution.You will train foreman, Superintendents, APMs, PMs, etc., on the use of the forms and processes developed.You will gather data from reporting processes and provide detailed analysis for management review.Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Supports the project team, and stakeholders on managing schedules for a successful project delivery.Work directly with schedulers from the various general contractors and design-build teams to monitor schedule risk.Maintain the overall milestone program and ensures milestone definitions are written and agreed upon by stakeholders.Determines reasonable schedule logic and constraints based on discussion with task owners and/or teams.Evaluates critical and near critical path activity sequences and coordinates and facilitates review sessions with all stakeholders.Analyzes schedule reports/indicators are created and delivered in accordance to the project execution plan.Identifies major milestones, critical approvals, and long lead procurement items.Assesses actual progress based on site inspections and validates the Contractors approaches to measuring and reporting against the schedule.Identifies schedule changes, gaps, and trends and proactively work issues with stakeholders.Monitors and reports schedule deliverables.Communicates and presents schedule status to multiple stakeholders and support negative float resolution.Suggests corrective actions and/or develop recovery plans when delays are anticipated or occur.Understand the integration points of multiple projects and ensure that the schedules support each other.Prepares and presents a consolidated progress report of the project to program/ management.Provide what-if schedules to project as needed.Provide lessons learned through-out the project.Other Duties and Responsibilities
Performs other related duties as assigned to ensure efficient and effective processes, completion of projects and smooth operation of department.Qualifications
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
In-depth knowledge of Primavera with an understanding of typical construction sequencing and logic for a large construction projects life cycle.Must be highly articulate, have clear and analytical approach to problem solving, and strong decision making abilitiesMust have excellent communication and presentation skills.Understand and utilize Information Technology in the performance of work including Microsoft Office SuiteProficiency in Primavera scheduling products (P6) and report preparation skillsEducation and Experience
Bachelors degree in Engineering, Construction, Quantity Surveying, or related experienceFive years of P6 experience in medium to large-sized construction projectsLarge capital construction projects experienceSchedule management experience in the development of project schedules and integrating multiple schedules.Certification with AACE, PMI or CMAA is preferredProficient use of MS Excel and/or data bases systems.
