The Role
We are excited to attract a Plant Manager who has proven leadership skills to help shape a high-performing team towards operational excellence. This position will report to our CMO and will oversee safety, quality, production efficiencies, machine uptime, waste minimization, maintenance, and engineering. This role will serve as a member of our leadership team, requiring discretion and independent judgement. They will have to access confidential information in addition to considering, comparing, and evaluating data and processes, and recommending different courses of action.
Requirements
Business Planning
• Contribute to the plant's Annual Operating Plan and capital budget preparation
Operations & Safety
• Ensure adherence to safety guidelines
• Execute the plant's capital plan effectively and in a timely manner
• Direct and coordinate the daily operations of the plant
• Maximize productivity by monitoring and acting on plant KPIs, i.e.: plant and equipment runnability and uptime, conversion costs, OEE, and more
• Initiate and manage continuous improvement initiatives
• Monitor and control waste to reduce production costs and negative environmental impacts
• Support sustainability through implementing recycling/recyclability programs
High Performance Team Building
• Build and mentor a collaborative, productive, and accountable team
• Create a working environment focused on employee safety, training, and product quality
• Nurture employee engagement to share improvement ideas and operational concerns
• Maintain high employee morale by fairly and consistently applying company policies
• Conduct performance appraisals
• Coach team members on INDEVCO philosophy, values, and work standards

• Hands-on manufacturing experience ideally in a known lean organization

Education & Experience
• Strong mechanical and technical background
• Paper/plastics industry experience preferred
• Minimum 5 years of manufacturing / leadership experience in a production facility
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related preferred
