Position Overview:
Support assigned business unit or field facility by promoting, communicating, and implementing human resources strategies and initiatives. Builds and maintains relationships by being a strategic partner with management and an employee advocate. Provides guidance on employment law, coordinates performance management, and resolves employee relations issues. Act as experts on human resources policies and procedures such as payroll, benefits, compensation, employee development, and recruiting all while maintaining the strictest of confidentiality.
Specific Responsibilities:Administers various human resource plans and procedures for all organization personnel; assists in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures; assists with the preparation and maintains the employee handbook and the policies and procedures manual.Participates in developing department goals, objectives, and systems.Responsible for oversight of payroll and related itemsPlans, leads, develops, coordinates, and implements policies, processes, training, initiatives, and surveys to support the organizations human resource compliance and strategy needs.May monitor the performance evaluation program and revise as necessary.Performs benefits administration, including claims resolution, change reporting, approving invoices for payment and communicating benefits information to employees.Develops and maintains affirmative action program; files EEO-1 report annually; and maintains other records, reports, and logs to conform to EEO regulations.Handles employee relations counseling, outplacement counseling and exit interviewing.Collaborates with senior leadership to understand the organizations goals and strategy related to staffing, recruiting, and retention.Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars.Maintains company organization charts and the employee directory.Assists in evaluation of reports, decisions and results of department in relation to established goals. Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to continually improve efficiency of the department and services performedMaintains compliance with federal, state and local employment and benefits laws and regulations.This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities but does serve as a coach and mentor for other positions in the department.Performs other duties as required.Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.3+ years proven experience in an HR administrative role or similar position.Knowledge of HR principles and practices (e.g. recruitment).Familiarity with HRIS systems (e.g., ADP Workforce Now).Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentialityFamiliarity with employment laws and regulations (e.g., FMLA) is a plus.Written and oral communication skills.

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision and the ability to adjust focus.
Travel:
Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected.
