Work ScheduleAs scheduled by the supervisor.Sensitive Position Yes Job DescriptionReporting to the Associate Vice President/Chief Human Resources Officer, the Director of HR Operations provides HR program leadership that enhances the employee experience of Reynolds faculty, administrative faculty, classified employees, and wage staff.This includes program leadership in:Financial security through fair & equitable pay, rewards & recognition. Provide coaching, guidance and support.Mutual accountability to colleagues, Reynolds leadership, and the HR team, through goals set and met, key performance indicators, integrity, transparency, and honesty in behavior and communications and regular reporting of HR metrics.

Preferred - Master’s degree in Human Resources or related fieldDemonstrated expertise in HR best practices, and a progressive HR strategy, including:Recruitment, selection, retention, onboardingProfessional talent development, adult learning, continuous improvementProgressive employee relations to support a vibrant college cultureLegally compliant within the framework of the Virginia Community College System ( VCCS )Competitive pay analysis to ensure pay equityMeaningful rewards & recognition processes to motivate and inspireDemonstrated people leadership skills to inspireExperience in the policies, programs, and technology systems of the VCCS , the Virginia Retirement System ( VRS ), and the Virginia Department of Human Resources Management ( DHRM ) highly preferred.Program management/project management and facilitation skills. Lean management or TQM highly preferred.HR Analytics skills, including understanding and translating data; meaningful metrics, key performance indicators, dashboards.Proven leadership capabilities. Demonstrated experience leading an HR team of professionals.Demonstrated written / oral communication skills. Presentation skills; PowerPoint skills.Expert in Microsoft Office 365 suite.Additional Considerations
