THE POSITION

The Unemployment Compensation Support Operations Division is looking for motivated individuals to handle technical tasks, such as analyzing cases and ensuring accurate completion of various transactions. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this role, you will perform technical work by analyzing cases and accurately completing a wide variety of transactions to establish and adjust overpayments, recover overpaid monies, Relief From Charges (RFC), and make necessary adjustments to claims with various program types. You will also identify procedural problems based on the nature or quantity of inquiries and report findings and possible solutions to supervisors and/or manager. Some of your duties will encompass investigating and communicating courteously and efficiently in writing and over the phone with inquiries from claimants, employers, and other departmental agencies. You will be required to keep accurate and readable records and files, while following state and federal retention guidelines for filing and purging. You will also have the opportunity to train co-workers or new employees of equal or lower classification at the request of your manager or supervisor.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:Full-time employmentWork hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Work schedule may be negotiable within the office's business needs.Telework:

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

One year as a Clerical Assistant 2 (commonwealth title);

orOne year of moderately complex clerical experience;

orAn equivalent combination of experience and training.Other Requirements:
