The Warner Robins Finance Director plays a pivotal role in ensuring the financial health and sustainability of the City.
The Director provides critical managerial, analytical, and administrative support to all municipal departments, ensuring that the City's finances are managed with transparency, accuracy, and accountability.
The Finance Department's key responsibilities include meticulously recording and documenting all financial transactions, ensuring that every dollar is tracked and accounted for. The department also manages the City's fund investments and oversees debt management, aiming to optimize returns while minimizing financial risks.
The position requires the successful candidate to meet the following qualifications:
Knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with completing a baccalaureate degree in a course of study related to financeExperience sufficient to thoroughly understand the diverse objectives and functions of the subunits in the finance department in order to direct and coordinate work within the finance department, usually interpreted to require three or more years of related experienceCertified Public Accountant (CPA) and/or Certified Public Finance Officer certification is preferredMunicipal accounting experience requiredProven ability to work in a team environmentExperience with SPLOST and Hotel Motel tax preferredSupervisory experience requiredApplicant must have the ability to be bonded
The hiring range for this position is from $105,000 - $120,000.
