The ND Department of Commerce is seeking a
Program Specialist
to lead a recruitment strategy for AmeriCorps and National Service programs through the ND Department of Commerce, support member development initiatives, develop outreach initiatives and perform other project functions.
As the
Program Specialist , you will work alongside the program officer and grant recipients and engage with community stakeholders who strengthen Serve ND (State Commission for National and Community Service) and ND Department of Commerce services. You will develop high-quality recruitment and retention plans for AmeriCorps Programs and align National Service resources with community needs. Working within State Service Plan parameters, this position will translate community engagement goals into real programs and services.
The
Program Specialist
duties will include:
Interpret federal regulations.Implement statewide recruitment strategy for AmeriCorps using targeted outreach marketing and other promotional tools and activities.Launch a statewide service partners workgroup collaboratively focused on National Service and volunteer recruitment.Cultivate and sustain meaningful, local partnerships, building pathways to service and service-to-career pathways for local residents, neighborhood groups, youth-serving organizations and faith-based organizations.Conduct AmeriCorps alumni outreach.Support existing contracted partnerships and manage social media accounts for recruitment efforts.Assist program manager and division directors with requests for information.To be considered for this role
, you must have a minimum of a two-year associate degree and six months to two years of similar or related experience is required.
Additional InformationHourly Pay - $22.00-$30.00 per hourWork Hours - Monday-Friday, not to exceed 25 hours per week. Schedule is flexible and hours may vary.Location - Bismarck, working remotely in ND. Some travel may be required.Position Duration - one year, with possible extension based on status of grant.
