Job Duties :
Responsible for safetly planning, directing, and coordinating all manufacturing operations of production, machinery, processing, and packaging wtih assigned departments. Develops priorities based on production introduction, equipment efficiency, and materials. Works with area supervisors to create schedules and staffing requirements based on determined priorities. Establishes manufacturing and quality control standards and develops budget controls and plans.
Ensures Safe work environment for team members . Model of Safe Working Behaviors. Positively/Cooperatively Engages with SHE Manager/Coordinator/team and team members at all levels for promotion of safe work environment. Seeks and identifies areas of improvement. Promotes acceptable behaviors through coaching and, if necessary, consequence management. Understands and Ensures production of Planned Production to meet Sales book expectations.
Reviews daily/ongoing/urgent planned production schedules. Provides/Supports necessary assets to meet expected production schedules. Supports necessary trials, etc. needed to grow/develop new products/materials, etc. Champions and Implements Continuous Improvement methods and 5S standards that promote achievement of expected productivity, quality and other similar gains that meet/exceed plant goals/expectations.
Ensures plant compliance with CI behaviors including 5S methods, active engagement with local, regional and other team members to meet Bekaert and plant expectations for efficiency gains, productivity gains, etc. Ensures a clean and orderly work environment that promotes high levels of production volumes that meet/exceed customer demands. Manages team of Supervisors and their production teams in a manner that results in positive, professional work relationships.
Demonstrates leadership and direction that result in consistent achievement of production goals in ways that promote and demonstrate Bekaert Values. Promotes acceptable behaviors through coaching and, if necessary, consequence management. Recommends hiring and termination decisions; assesses performance of team and conducts annual performance evaluations of same. Conducts weekly team meetings with direct reports and senior managerial meetings with other department directors in order to create department policies and oversees implementation, etc. Holds team members accountable for meeting expectations and/or coaches team members toward necessary improved behaviors/performance necessary to meet expected goals, etc.
Provides clear directions/expectations for direct reports and team members. Coaches team members for optimum performance. Determines, based upon consistent application of appropriate policies, etc., disciplinary and counseling needed.
Educational Requirements : High School Diploma or GED and Four Year Degree (related to job function) and Four Years job related experience

Physical Requirements : Medium work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Physical Activities : (1) Climbing: Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles and the like, using feet and legs and/or hands and arms. Body agility is emphasized. This factor is important if the amount and kind of climbing required exceeds that required for ordinary locomotion.(2) Balancing: Maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling when walking, standing or
crouching on narrow, slippery or erratically moving surfaces. This factor is important if the

maintenance of body equilibrium. (3) Stooping: Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist. (5) Crouching: Bending the body downward and forward by bending leg and spine.(6) Crawling: Moving about on hands and knees or hands and feet. Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction. (7) Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction. (8) Standing: Particularly for sustained periods of time. (9) Walking: Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one work site to another. (10) Pushing: Using upper extremities to press against something with steady force in order to thrust forward, downward or outward. (11) Pulling: Using upper extremities to exert force in order to draw, drag, haul or tug objects in a sustained motion. (12) Lifting: Raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position-to-position. Visual Acuity : The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, expansive reading, visual inspection involving small defects, small parts and/or operation of machines (including inspection), using measurement devices, and/or assembly of fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes.
Working Conditions : (1) The worker is subject to inside environmental conditions: Protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes. (2) The worker is subject to both environmental conditions: Activities occur inside and outside. (3) The worker is subject to extreme cold: Temperatures typically below 32 degrees for periods of more than one hour. Consideration should be given to the effect of other environmental conditions such as wind and humidity. (4) The worker is subject to extreme heat: Temperatures above 100 degrees for periods of more than an hour. Consideration should be given to the effect of other environmental conditions such as wind and humidity.
