WHO YOU ARE

You are a compassionate and enthusiastic Physical Therapist who provides Physical Therapy mentorship while servicing students with autism, developmental delays, and other learning disabilities while working with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high quality treatment, documentation, and compliance in a school-based environment. Your function will be to help students achieve a fulfilled and satisfied state in life through the use of purposeful activity or interventions designed to achieve functional outcomes which promote health, prevent injury or disability.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Screening - Complete screening requests to determine each students need for an evaluationEvaluation - Conduct standardized assessments to determine eligibility due to PT deficits, such as gross motor skills including strength, balance, bilateral coordination, endurance, motor planning, and stair transitionsTreatment - Write evidence based IEPs or 504s for students who have Physical Therapy related needs incorporating various treatment strategies and accommodationsDocumentation - Complete documentation in accordance with Hope deadlines and legal timelinesCommunication - Maintain communication with student's families and/or caregivers regarding progress and needsCollaboration - Work with multidisciplinary team members to determine the most appropriate treatment plan based on each student's needs and improve service delivery and treatmentOther responsibilities as assignedWHAT YOU'LL NEED

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) programState Physical Therapy LicenseExperience working with individuals with developmental delays (Preferred)Experience working in a school setting (Preferred)Clearances & Training Required

Act 33 PA Child Abuse History ClearanceAct 34 PA State Criminal History ClearanceAct 114 FBI Clearance issued by the Dept of EducationAct 126 Mandated Reporter Training CertificateAct 168 from Previous Employers where you came into contact with childrenState License of Practice and/or CertificationCPR/First AidTB/PhysicalWHAT WE OFFER
