Position Overview:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Echoing Hills Village. As an LPN, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to individuals with developmental disabilities. Responsibilities:Nursing Care: Provide direct nursing care to individuals with developmental disabilities, following the established care plans and treatment protocols. Administer medications, perform treatments, and monitor vital signs, ensuring the physical health needs of the residents are met.Assessment and Documentation: Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments, document observations, and maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records. Communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care.Supportive Environment: Create a nurturing and supportive environment that fosters the fruit of the spirit, promoting love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Show empathy and understanding to residents and their families.Personalized Care: Develop an individualized care plan for each resident based on their specific needs and goals. Collaborate with the care team to address any changes in health status promptly. Utilize a person-centered approach to assist the individuals in fulfilling their desires and needs for an independent life.Education and Advocacy: Educate residents, families, and caregivers about health-related topics, including medication management, disease prevention, and healthy lifestyle choices. Advocate for the needs and rights of individuals with developmental disabilities. This position provides a daily link between all internal and external providers and individuals involved in the care and oversight of the individuals.Crisis Management: Respond effectively to medical emergencies and crisis situations, demonstrating calmness, composure, and quick decision-making skills. Follow proper protocols and ensure the safety of all individuals involved.Assist the Director of Nursing and the Nurse Supervisor in directing the daily workflow of direct care staff.Qualifications:

Licensed Practical Nurse: Valid LPN license in the state of Ohio.Clinical Expertise: Proficient in providing nursing care, including medication administration, wound care, and monitoring vital signs. Prior experience in caring for individuals with developmental disabilities is desirable.Compassion and Empathy: Display a genuine concern for the well-being of individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. Treat everyone with respect and dignity, fostering an atmosphere of love and kindness.Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members. Ability to convey information clearly and concisely.Critical Thinking: Demonstrate strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, especially in emergency situations. Remain calm under pressure and make informed decisions.Ethics and Integrity: Uphold the highest ethical standards and maintain confidentiality in all aspects of work.
