Position : Director of Contracts
The ideal Director of Contracts candidate has a diverse background in DOD contracts management and compliance and a comprehensive knowledge of pricing, contracting, and business management within the defense and aerospace markets. This individual has in-depth knowledge of FAR/DFAR and other applicable government regulations. Must be able to effectively manage competing priorities and deadlines and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and lead a team of contract managers and administrators to high levels of performance.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead and supervise a Contracts Management Team of 10+ professionals for the effective negotiation, administration and management of Government and commercial contracts.Reviewing and redlining terms on proposals that are responsive, FAR Part 15 compliant (when applicable), and fully address customer requirements as specified in RFPs/RFQs.Examining overall proposal content of material, equipment, services, production costs, performance requirements, and delivery schedules to ensure compliance with government and prime contractor contract request for proposal/quote requirements and providing analysis and proposed modification of such to ensure SCI business interests are addressed.Conducting review of incoming purchase orders and documentation for compliance with previous proposals, negotiation terms with customers along with the program management team, perform contract administration, and serving as the primary contact with customers for contractual matters.Reviews statements of work, progress, and other reports on awarded contracts and advising program and senior management of contractual rights and obligations.Compile and analyze SCI efficiency data on processing of purchase order processing time to ensure efficient administrative processes are implemented.Maintains historical contracts and purchase order documentation for future use in contract contract disputes.Ensuring all customer facing activities are conducted in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications.Review terms and conditions of customer contracts and negotiate exceptions to ensure compliance with standard terms and conditions of companyProvide other guidance and direction to company personnel on contractual matters as needed.Execute teaming agreements and non-disclosure agreements in accordance with company policy.Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Business Management/Administration or related field10+ years contracts management industry experience (prime and subcontracting) with Federal Agency/DoD customers.Background in administration/contractsOutstanding computer skills (Microsoft Office)
