Closing Date:Until Filled Description:Athletic Event Workers will assist the Athletic Director and/or athletic staff/designee with the performance of jobs and duties necessary to run activities for students.

Compensation: $40.00 per event

Duties assigned may include:

Ticket SellerTicket TakerScoreboard OperatorAnnouncerScorebook KeeperLine JudgeTrack and Field Timer/MeasurerTeam HostOfficials HostClock operatorScore keeperStatisticianGeneral Event Staff

Arrive prepared to work at the designated time.Inspect and prepare the area and equipment for the scheduled activity.Report any concerns with equipment or area in sufficient time to have event ready for the scheduled time.Report time following the established procedure for District 209.All other duties assigned by the Athletic Director or designee.

Qualifications:Graduation from high school or the equivalent.Demonstrated ability and experience in working with duties associated to the assigned activity.Possess the ability to work cooperatively with others.Maturity and the ability to work effectively with students and staff.Self-motivated with the ability to work independently within the limits of assigned responsibilities.Understands the importance of and can practice confidentiality.Adheres to specific rules and regulations as they apply to the procedures of the building.Prior athletic event work experienceKnowledge of sports rules/regulationsCommunication skillsOrganization skillsTime management skillsLeadership skillsWillingness to accept responsibility for the tasks of the position
