General Description
:Full-time digital specialist supporting the Public and Community Relations department.
Minimum Required Qualifications

N/AExperience : Evidence of successful work experience and of a strong attendance record.Knowledge/Abilities/Skills :
Ability to successfully perform the essential duties and responsibilities of this position.Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar. (Bilingual Spanish preferred)Knowledge of media production, communication, and dissemination techniques and methods. This includes alternative ways to inform and entertain via written, oral and visual mediaKnowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.The ability to come up with numerous unusual or clever ideas about a given topic or situation.Evidence of strong organizational and time management skillsExperience working with diverse populations.A high degree of honesty and integrity demonstrated through both work and personal referencesKeen ability to quickly comprehend and synthesize complex information into tight, readable proseAble to multi-task and independently prioritize routine tasks and special projects; work well under tight deadlinesProven ability to work as a part of a creative team, with a flexible approach to all tasks.Desired Qualifications:(Note: These are "desired qualifications" only, and are not required to be considered for employment for this position)
Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism or related area.Experience in a public relations, communications or journalism.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and current software.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
*:
Maintain and develop district website presence.
Update calendar events.
Including District-wide and school-specific events/meetings as details become availableIncluding official school calendar dates and holidays
Maintain website staff directory.
Including staff titles and contact infoIncluding removal of terminated/resigned staff
Assist with the creation of digital content (videos, photography, images and graphics) for promoting and highlighting school events, students/staff recognitions, holiday/national recognitions for website and social media.Assist with attending and capturing school-related events/activities through photography/videography for website/newsletter/social media publications. These events may occur on weekends and/or evenings.Collaborate with various departments to execute necessary video, photo, and graphic design requests.Collect and provide content for monthly district newsletterProvide interpretation and translation of publications for district administration.Plan and organize district-level events, which include the Back to School Bash and Turkey Drive.Order and maintain supplies including swag for on boarding staff and students (pens, t-shirts, lanyards, promo materials etc.).Determine what digital/audio production equipment is necessary and obtain/manage equipment.Provides standards and guidelines for consistent and appropriate use of video, photography and brandingOther duties as required and assigned
Performance Evaluation/Accountability
:Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the evaluation of personnel, as established by the Classified Staff Evaluation Plan. All evaluations shall comply with State and Federal law and any applicable collective bargaining agreement.

Selection Process
