This is an
OPEN
recruitment to establish an eligibility list and hire substitutes. Substitutes work on an as-needed basis to fill in for absent employees. The eligibility list will be used to fill permanent vacancies which may occur during the life of the eligibility list.
Positions in this classification are full-time, 11 months per year, 239 days.
The recruitment process will consist of a written examination and an oral technical interview, which are
tentatively
scheduled during the weeks of
December 2-13, 2024.

Basic Function
Under the direction of the Coordinator of Special Education and directly responsible to the Resource Teacher of the Transition Partnership Program, the Pre-Employment Technician will assist students/Department of Rehabilitation (DR) consumers with job search techniques, resumes, job applications, interview practice and job survival skills on an individual basis and in small group settings.

Two years college education. Minimum two years experience working with individuals with special needs.Licenses and Other Requirements
Word processing skills, California driver's license and automobile. Employees in this classification must maintain insurability at the District's standard rate during the term of employment.
