Job Summary

Under the direction of a Principal, assist a certificated teacher in providing instruction to individuals or groups of students in an assigned special education program; monitor and report student progress regarding behavior and performance; perform a variety of clerical duties in support of the instructional program.

Requirements / Qualifications

SELECTION PROCEDURE:This is an OPEN recruitment to establish an eligibility list, fill vacancies and hire substitutes. Substitutes work on an as-needed basis to fill in for absent employees. The eligibility list will be used to fill permanent vacancies which may occur during the life of the eligibility list.

Positions in this classification are part-time (17.5-30 hours/week), 10 months per year, 196 days.

The recruitment process will consist of a written examination and oral technical interview. Testing may occur on a weekly basis. Qualified applicants will be notified by US mail or email.
