Arizona administrative certification. At least three years experience as a teacher or school administrator. Principal experience preferred.

SUPERVISES:
Local school professional and support staff
JOB GOAL:
To provide leadership, administrative, and supervisory skills for the promotion of all students' educational development, including community and parent involvement. To provide for staff excellence through comprehensive assistance, evaluations, and a staff development plan based on high expectations.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:Establish and maintain, within the limitations of financial resources available, an effective learning climate in the school-based on school-wide strategic planning.Set high, yet realistic school goals based on district goals and school needs. Provide systematic staff development and implement action plan for results.Supervise the curricular program to enhance student achievement and development.Evaluate, according to law and Board policy, and counsel all staff members regarding their individual and group performances. Provide staff growth assistance as needed. Recommend discharge of staff members whose work is unsatisfactory.Maintain awareness of current laws, regulations, and policies affecting public school educational administration, including special requirements for handicapped, gifted, and other special programs.Plan and organize activities to bring parents and other community members into the school.Prepare or supervise the preparation of reports, records, lists, and other necessary documents required as appropriate.Participate in community, school, and district meetings as appropriate or assigned,Prepare and submit local school budget request. Monitor local school expenditures. Make adjustments in expenditures to provide services throughout the year.Assume responsibility for the implementation and observance of all district policies and rules and administrative directives.Assume responsibility for the attendance, conduct, health, and safety of students and staff.Work with district departments to coordinate multiple school activities, including maintenance and transportation departmentsInform Superintendent of activities and problems as appropriate.Continue to grow professionally through appropriate staff development opportunities and obtain a minimum of 15 clock hours of staff development each year.Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Twelve-month year, salary and employee benefits in accordance with Board policies.
EVALUATION:
Performance to be evaluated in accordance with the Board policy on evaluation of support personnel.
