As a Tool Install Construction Project Manager, you will be playing a critical role in new factory buildout, upgrading capacity, maintaining operations, and optimizing systems for the most exciting company in the world. You will manage general contractors and subcontractors of various trades to install new manufacturing lines and collaborate cross-functionally with construction engineering, design, facilities, commissioning, and manufacturing as the facility transitions to production operations. From both the field and office, you will be responsible for maintaining budgets and schedules.
Responsibilities
Takes ownership of assigned projects, ensuring long-term customer satisfaction, opportunities, and cost savings for TeslaEvaluates bidding, material buyouts, and negotiating opportunities for potential and assigned projectsMaintains effective communication with Tesla personnel, including QC, QA, CX, and FacilitiesCompletes project startup procedures, including but not limited to: Making projections, budgeting, and performing job cost entry for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontracts.Prepares major purchase orders while following appropriate pricing and scope evaluations.Reviews project plans, P&ID's, single-line diagrams, and loop diagrams to account for all material and hardwareManages projects according to Tesla specifications, procedures, and policiesRequirements
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or equivalent experienceExcellent verbal and written communication skillsEffective reasoning and judgment skillsProficiency with or ability to learn how to use Primavera, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Suite, accounting software, estimating software, and other required systems and softwareAbility to read and interpret all contract documents, plans, specifications, and requirementsAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and capitalize on project opportunitiesKnowledge of trade terms, materials, methods, codes, contract and specification language, bidding methods, National Electric Code, electrical engineering fundamentals, purchasing processes, and accounting conceptsCompensation and BenefitsBenefits
