Employee Relations Specialist

The Employee Relations Specialist is responsible for completing a variety of tasks to support the HR department's daily operations. These include employee consulting, training, conflict resolution, complaint investigation, policy interpretation, and the preparation and delivery of related summary reports and recommendations.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
:
Demonstrates highest standards of personal and professional integrity, adheres to company's policies and procedures, and complies with applicable laws, government rules and regulations.Investigates complaints and/or charges filed both internally and externally regarding violations of company policies, state and federal laws governing employment practices, and prepares appropriate responses.Review corrective actions; reviews requests for suspensions and terminations to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.Gathers and organizes all necessary documentation for information requests and assists in hearings as necessary.Provides investigatory support to the Employee Relations Manager in complex employee relations matters and in the employee resolution process.Ensure consistency with practice and administration of policies and proceduresAssist in administering employee performance programs.Suggest new procedures and policies for improving employee experience as well as the efficiency of HR department and company.Ensure compliance with local and national regulations and applicable employment laws, and update policies and procedures when necessary.Assist in the communication, interpretation, and upkeep of employee handbook, employee directory, and organizational chart, and contribute to policy development.Reviews and makes employee changes in the company HRIS System, Dayforce as necessary.Assist with answering incoming inquiries from the HR Helpdesk.Other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS

Education:
This position requires a Bachelor's degree (B.A.), preferably in Human Resources, or related field from a four-year college or university or equivalent professional knowledge and/or work experience.Experience :
3-5 years human resource experience.Certifications/Licenses:
PHR certification preferred.Skills:
Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook are required for this position.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ethics, and cultural awarenessAptitude for problem-solving and thorough knowledge of HR procedures and policiesAdvanced knowledge of HRIS and ability to learn new technical systems, when necessaryProven success working in an HR department.Resourceful mindset and strong attention to detailKnowledge of Ceridian Dayforce software preferred.Knowledge of national laws and regulations related.We are a drug-free workplace.
