Position Overview:
We are seeking a Mission Advancement Officer to join our team. This role is responsible for helping our organization achieve its mission and goals through philanthropic support. Under the supervision of the Director of Communications and Mission Advancement, the Mission Advancement Officer will develop and manage relationships, engaging them through personal outreach and planned giving. As an integral part of our team, you will help create a culture of commitment to our Christian mission.

What You Will Be Doing:
Donor Relations:
Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward individuals, providing personal attention and prompt follow-up.Portfolio Management:
Build and manage a portfolio of prospects, tracking interactions and progress using our Customer Relationship Management System (CRM).Communication & Presentation:
Work with the Director of Communications and Advancement to develop communications and presentations that guide potential donors in their decision-making process.Planned Giving:
Design and oversee the implementation of a planned giving program.Donor Prospecting & Screening:
Assist in identifying new major donor prospects through referrals, research, and outreach.Stewardship & Recognition:
Advise on opportunities for donor recognition and stewardship, ensuring donors feel valued and appreciated.Collaboration & Reporting:
Provide timely reports on portfolio work and collaborate closely with the Board of Directors, CEO, and other stakeholders to align strategies and efforts.Why work for Christian Family Solutions?

Requirements
Bachelor's degree required.Experience with a nonprofit organization is a plus; training will be provided.Demonstrated success in a sales or development role, with experience managing relationships.Familiarity with a Customer Relationship Management System (CRM) is preferred; willingness to learn and use essential systems is required.Member in good standing of a confessional Lutheran church body and an understanding and appreciation of the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod and the role of affiliated ministries.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate integrity in handling sensitive information.A valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.Flexibility to travel and adjust your schedule to meet organizational needs.
