Kings County is located in the East Flatbush/Prospect-Lefferts section of Brooklyn, close to the 2 and 5 subways. Our patients are diverse, with the majority being Afro-Caribbean. Most of our patients are native English speakers. Knowledge of French/Haitian Creole is helpful, but not required.Examines patients, orders, performs or supervises appropriate therapeutic treatments.Consults with other members of the professional staff, and may give guidance, advise, or professional medical opinion to less experienced members of the professional medical staff, the house staff and other members of the health care team.May provide instruction for Medical Students rotating in the Department.May participate in any other customary activities under the usual standard of medical practice as necessary.Demonstrates Knowledge of privacy and security rules outlined in the HIPPA guidelines.Examines patients, orders or performs appropriate diagnostic tests.Adheres to department attendance policy.Preforms other administrative, professional, consultative duties as needed by the Chief of service.Participates in medical research.Assists in the establishment of maintenance of standards of performance for physicians and other professional employees working in the serviceQualifications
Current licensed NYS registrationCompletion of Residency,Fellowship or Sub-specialtyBoard Certified/ Eligible in Internal MedicineGraduate from an approved Medical SchoolExceptional Benefits Include:
