What you will be doing
Supervises daily maintenance and sanitation activities using the most efficient and economical ways of maintaining the equipment, minimizing down time and keeping warehouse operations running efficiently.
The position will be based in Brea, CA.
Main responsibilitiesSupervise the day-to-day activities of the maintenance and sanitation departments to ensure that planned maintenance and sanitation procedures are being performed accurately and on a timely basisCreates, monitors, generates, verifies and closes planned maintenance and job tasks using the computerized maintenance programVerifies work orders to ensure that they are properly prepared and that correct inventory procedures are followedOversee the purchase of parts, tools and materials for maintenance and sanitation purposes as requiredConduct department and facility safety surveys and assign work orders and personnel to correct deficienciesRespond to and investigate accidents, near miss situations, and equipment and facility integrity issuesOversee grounds sanitation and maintenance to include landscape and pavementAssist in troubleshooting equipment and facility system symptomsPerform other related duties as assignedThe salary range is $ 69,000 to $85,000 annually. Starting salary will vary based on criteria such as location, experience, and qualifications. There may be flexibility for exceptional candidates.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
3-5 years' experience in a supervisory, management or lead person role5-7 years' experience in the repair and maintenance of material handling equipment, conveyors, forklifts, sweepers/scrubbers, auto storage and retrieval systemsHigh school degree required. College or trade school degree desirable and/or equivalent work experience in areas of refrigeration and electrical maintenance required. Thorough knowledge of ammonia refrigeration systems preferred.Strong administrative skills to include Computer skills. Working knowledge of the computerized maintenance program to document and schedule all maintenance tasks and inventories. (Microsoft (Excel, Word, Access), Maximo, etc.)Must be detail-oriented and well-organized. Requires the analytical ability to handle administrative duties and mental alertness to ensure accurate, safe, and thorough completion of work activities. Possess ability to concentrate and deal with frequent interruptionsProven ability to manage within a team structure. Possess good leadership skills and the ability to supervise the work of others. Must be able to motivate and work with and through others to achieve desired resultsPossess good communication skills, both verbal and written. Deal effectively with a wide variety of people both in person and over the telephoneAbility to work in a fast paced distribution environment with high awareness of safetyAvailable to work any shift, including nights, weekends and holidaysPHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT:
Most work is performed in typical warehouse conditions. During part of the workday the incumbent will be moving about the Distribution Center warehouse floor and potential hazards exist in regard to machinery such as forklifts, pallet jacks, mechanized systems, movement of tractors and trailers, etc.Must be able to climb stairs and ladders, and be able to stand and walk for extended periods of timeTemperatures in the warehouse may vary between -20 degrees to 70 degreesNoise levels in all areas are within acceptable tolerance ranges for those specific work areasMay sit for long periods of time at a desk or computer terminalIncumbent will use calculators, keyboards, telephone, and other office equipment in the course of the workday
