Position Summary

The Office Manager and Housing Operations Coordinator is a live-on staff Residential Life member who serves in the capacity overseeing main office functions, housing functions, and assistant to main office leadership. This position provides administrative support to the Associate Dean of Residential Life, the Associate Director of Residential Life for Community Standards and Integrity, and the Associate Director of Business Operations for Residential Life. The position will also assist the other professional Residence Life staff on projects, committee work, and on-going departmental commitments. As the Housing Operations Coordinator, this position is responsible for assisting with a variety of housing-related functions, including maintaining the Department's StarRez database and assisting with communications and housing operations. This position is also involved in many aspects of the daily operations of the department, scheduling and coordinating departmental meetings and functions, processing payments in Workday, managing office spending and purchasing, serving as a liaison to campus partners including custodial and facilities, Student Life office managers, and outside vendors.

This position will also recruit, train and supervise student office workers who support the business functions of the department.

This position serves in the on-call rotation.

Primary Position Responsibilities30%: Manage daily office operations, such as phone and email inquiries, inventory management, and office procurement.30%: Maintain the StarRez database and manage specific housing processes, including move-in/move-out coordination, room changes, and key management10%: Collaborate with campus partners and third-party vendors to enhance the residential experience for students, ensuring compliance with sustainability initiatives and efficient vendor management (e.g., Boomerang)10%: Lead departmental marketing, including social media campaigns, website updates, and storytelling initiatives to engage the student community10%: Recruit, train, and supervise student office workers who assist with business functions.5%: Contribute to departmental committee work5%: Participate in the professional staff on-call rotation to respond to emergencies.Performance Profile:

Ensure the timely and accurate management of housing processesProvide prompt, thorough responses to inquiries via the Student Housing email account and phone line, ensuring accurate information is communicated or directed to the appropriate personnel.Demonstrate a collaborative approach with campus departments, establishing a reputation as a knowledgeable and resourceful team member.Deliver high-quality marketing and social media materials that foster student engagement and promote the residential experience.Education Required:

Bachelor's degree requiredExperience Required:

1-3 years of clerical or related experience, preferably in a higher education setting.Skills and Abilities:
