The
Strategic Sourcing Analyst
works closely with the Procurement Department Manager to continually survey the entire HYTORC Product catalog with Procurement, Product Management and Engineering to identify products that fall into HYTORC defined Strategic Risk categories. The
Strategic Sourcing Analyst
will create detailed risk analysis charts and files per product category and devise proactive and repeatable strategies to mitigate and avoid risk (cost and availability) throughout the Supply Chain. The
Strategic Sourcing Analyst
will work closely with the Procurement Department Manager to prepare and complete quarterly risk assessments and updates for HYTORC Executive Management. In addition, the
Strategic Sourcing Analyst
will lead the Procurement department efforts in Master data management and tactical and strategic reporting development / maintenance with SAPB1 , EXCEL and SSRS.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The
Strategic Sourcing Analyst
will utilize product and procurement knowledge to complete risk surveys and mitigation strategies for Raw materials, commercial components, critical level OEM components, critical level sub-assembly components, Assembly and Manufacturing vendor redundancy, Sole-source vendor evaluations, Identify strategic cost savings opportunities.ResponsibilitiesResponsible for procurement and purchasing activities on assigned projects/vendors. Prepare, review and issue purchaseContinually survey the entire HYTORC Product catalog with Procurement, Product Management and Engineering to identify products that fall into HYTORC defined Strategic Risk categories.Create risk charts per product categoryDevelop BOM review process and schedule with Procurement, Product Management and EngineeringDevelop direct sourcing relationships with OEMS for advances EOL notifications or critical level itemsDevelop strategic safety stock purchasing plans for high risk itemsMaster data management with an emphasis on development /maintenance of tactical and strategic reporting.Participate in New Vendor developmentProactively support Procurement to confirm purchasing requirements, ensuring timely purchase of goods to meet customerEducation/Experience RequiredPost-secondary diploma and /or equivalent work experience in materials management or business.4+ years of experience in a similar role; preferably in industrial engineering andFamiliarity with standard procurement concepts, best practices andGood understanding of all logistic methods and import/customsComputer Skills NecessaryExpert level EXCEL and PowerPoint skills are required with extensive use of the balance of Microsoft office suite.Experience with SAP and other ERP systems is considered anOther project management and analytics systems experience isWork EnvironmentStandard open-space office environment of moderate noiseOccasional visits to vendors both locally and out of state may be
