General Purpose of Job:
The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for various marketing activities, events and projects including but not limited to working with Marketing Managers and Senior Director, coordinating, assigning and following up on all requests received by the Marketing Department. Maintains mail group listings for publications and email lists; researches, interviews and writes copy for various marketing materials and advertisements as needed. Works with vendors to obtain quotes for print jobs and promotional items. Coordinates hospital's participation in various events and sponsorships that involve patients and families, employees and/or the community-at-large. Serves as a back-up for Media and Public Relations needs. Prepares line-item budget for all projects and then a final cost analysis. Develops and maintains relationships throughout the hospital to learn of story ideas for marketing purposes. Writes news releases and pitches stories to media and coordinates on-site media coverage as needed. Assists with maintaining archives of print and digital media. Takes and responds to media calls.

Tracks project costs to meet budget.Develops and manages a detailed project schedule and work plan. Monitors progress and makes adjustments as needed.Measures project performance to identify areas for improvement.Provides project updates on a consistent basis to stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress.Manages contracts with vendors and suppliers by assigning tasks & communicating expected deliverables.Develops story ideas for different publications and, schedules interviews, writes articles, and proofs stories for accuracy and typos, obtaining approvals on stories prior to release.Researches/interviews and writes copy for marketing materials.Assists the media/public relations function by writing news releases, pitching stories to media and coordinating interviews and onsite media events.Responds to media calls as necessary.Promotes Driscoll services during events.Coordinates the design of promotional material and distributes in online and offline channels.Advertises Driscoll services on various traditional and digital media platforms.Plans interviews and press conferences.Produces marketing copy for the Driscoll website.Crafts and sends regular Driscoll newsletters using Constant Contact. Tracks email campaigns for effectiveness. Maintains segmented email lists.Tracks ROI for marketing campaigns.Familiarity with B2B and B2C advertising campaigns.Knowledge of SEO and Google Analytics.Familiar with social media marketing campaigns.Gathers internal and external customer feedback.Requirements and skills:
Always maintains utmost level of confidentiality.Adheres to all hospital policies and procedures and HIPAA guidelines.Proven experience as a Marketing Communications Specialist or similar roleExcellent verbal and written communication skillsGood presentation skillsStrong computer skills in MS Office (including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) are necessary.Experience in WordPress and Constant Contact.Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor's degree in marketing, Communications or Public Relations from a four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Experience in a healthcare marketing/public relations environment is desirable.
